CONFERENCES
I Participated in UK-South Asian Women Writers Conference February 2003 organized by British Council at New Delhi. The theme was based on voice, dialogue and visibility.
I participated in Les Belles Etrangers, a 15-day conference of 20 Indian writers, organized in France by the French Ministry of Culture and the Centre Nationale Du Livre, Paris in November 2002. Conferences were held in various cities of France and Europe. December 2006, Invited to festival Lille 3000 in France, for literary conference with seven Indian writers in conversation with French writers about city-centric novels.
I participated in Remembered Rhythms - a festival on Diaspora and the music of India –2005, at American Institute of Indian studies, New Delhi. I participated in a seminar by Asmita and Womens world, on the theme of The Tongue Set Free, at Hyderabad June 2001.
2007, conference of South Asian Women Writers by Womens World International in New Delhi on The Power of the Word.
Participated in, Shakti, a conference held by Ministry of HRD, national seminar, department of English, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in December 2001 - Forms – Words – Images - changing dimensions of a creative journey. 2005 – Gujarat University and James Reaney Canadian study center on a seminar of Rewording and Reworlding the Canon – paper on Instinct in Art. 2005, participated in a Ministry of HRD national conference – Redefining Feminism with a paper on, A Second Look - Michelangelo – The second Sin. 2005 – Lalit Kala Academy New Delhi – Ravishanker Raval Memorial Lecture in Ahmedabad on - Art without Boundaries. In March 2006 participated in UGC national seminar on The Idea of India in Indian English Novel at department of English, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara. I participated in a national seminar on the Influence of Henry Moore on Indian artists at the Faculty of Fine arts, Maharaja Sayajirao Univeristy, Vadodara in 1986. I was invited to attend the Festival of India in France in 1986 to participate on a conference on Art in Daily Life. In 1993, I was invited by Unesco Paris, at Gallery Bonvin, to hold an exhibition on the theme of art in underprivileged areas on the International Woman’s Day. This was followed by two exhibitions at Artisans du Monde, Paris and one exhibition at Alliance Francaise d’Ahmedabad in 2000.
JOURNALISM
Columnist with The Times of India & Femina from 1995, Ahmedabad edition. And, was art critic for The Times of India, February 2006, I was guest editor for The Times of India anniversary issue. Advisory editor Eve Times, Ahmedabad.
