BOOKS > Ane Dhara Dhruji
Gujarat was cruelly jolted awake on Republic Day by a monster earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale.
The temblor wrought unbelievable destruction all round and is believed to have left thousands of people dead in Gujarat.
Its epicentre Kutch got de-linked from the rest of the country.
With the earthquake many stories have emerged, and as a writer I have responded to them, by exploring the possibity of creating literature during a crisis.
With the help of a publishing house Navbharata Sahitya Mandir, I invited the people of Gujarat to send me their stories. Once these were collected, I edited them and brought out a collection of short stories in Gujarati.
Published by Navbharata Sahitya Mandir, Ahmedabad.
